จัดเป็นครั้งที่สองแล้ว เวิร์คชอปทำตุ๊กตาจากใยขนแกะ ไหมฉึกๆ

ครั้งนี้จะต่างไปจากเดิมนิดหน่อย ค่าสมัคร 350 บาท ไม่รวมอุปกรณ์
ไม่รวมอุปกรณ์? แล้วต้องจ่ายเิพิ่มไหม คำตอบคือ ไม่ค่ะ

Nokhookdesign is ready for NAP 2010

This year NAP (Nimmanhaemin Art & Design Promenade) will take place from 5 to 11 December 2010 at Nimmanhaemin road soi 1 and Think Park (opposite side of main road).

Nokhookdesign booth (with Plangrang Studio) will be in soi 11, in front of Suriyanchandra shop and opposite to Gongdee Gallery.

At our booth, there will be tees (new design), yoda pillow, handmade dolls, pictures, many other stuffs from our shop and some needle felt arts from our partner (sub-business) feltyfarm.com
Our team is working hard to launch more products that we are very busy during these coming weeks. Well, we expect to see our lovely customers and blog fan. Just drop by to say hello or buy some stuffs home (we won't blame you for giving us money, hee hee).

Yoda Pillow

Nokhookdesign is now in handmade product mode. We really enjoy sewing, arts and crafts. Here is our new product. :D

This pillow is designed to be a mini pillow where you can travel with it everywhere. It can be in you bag. For a nap in office (it really works) or as a little pillow under your hindneck when traveling on a bus. I always find a problem traveling and sleeping overnight on bus, car or even plane and always got a neck ache next morning. But our pug pillow will shred away this problem. hee hee hee

How to make Nokhookdesign T-shirt

Hi,
Long time no see.
we've been very busy with many things. Last weekend, we finally found some free time to work on the T-shirt silk screening after postponing for months.
Many of customers asks "what do you mean by 'screen by hand' ?" Here's the answer.
Cos we're not rich enough to buy a machine. So, be sure that every piece is very original and limited (human power can't produce a lot and we can't make exactly same quality on every t-shirt just like a machine does).

First, we start by mixing colors.

Our mixing machine is our hands!

wait for ironing and packaging (or just put in shelf)

what should I say...? Oh I'm so proud that we are so popular that they copied us. huh? should I say that?
or should I try to understand that it's a common situation in our country THAILAND that we have to bear? NO NO NO NO NO

Don't they feel ashamed of this? How did they present to their customers about those things?
How how how how on earth this guys can be born as a human. They should have born as a bacteria in a shit!

Nokhookdesign shop 2nd Anniversary

It's been such a long long time we haven't update blog. But we won't put blames on hard work. ^^ (it's truly we are lazy somehow).

On the passed Christmas, it was our 2nd anniversary of Nokhookdesign shop. We had little parties among friends. enjoyed!!!

Nokhookdesign does not care asshole customer!

Like what my title said.

We have run our mini business for years and never have any problems with our customers.
Most of our customers are nice. well, some are not. but we can find the way to pass it finally.

Until it came up with this case.

Right now, I would like to inform you guys that....

Nokhookdesign and www.37nats.com have nothing to do with each other!!!!

No matter what this customer says, does, acts, thinks or whatever...are just a shit for us!

Let me roughly explain in chronological order just to make you guys see what happened;

1. A stupid western guy came with his Asian wife (who no matter what aspect regarding her is nothing but just a bar girl type!) to my office. Asking to do some works. We agreed and made appointment.

2. We went to Bangkok. That girl called us, ordered us to go back to Chiang Mai one day earlier (of arranged date) just to see them. Hell! who on earth would do that---- huh? to travel between Chiang Mai and Bangkok, the cheapest cost is around over 2000 but the job cost only 2000 baht in which they didn't even deposit.
More, the way that idiot girl talk to us was very bossy. I'm not her slave.
And we refuse the job.

3. That guy came again, still want us to do the job.
We told him we would make quotation and would start working after he agrees with the price only.
We sent e-mail.
He never replies.

4. 20 days passed, that guy called to complain why we didn't finish the job. GOD DAMN! Who would do it while customer not ok with the price yet. I told him quotation was sent already, don't see? Then he said 'Oh I just saw it' (shit)
Then he complained the price is too high.
(For most people, this is very easy to make decision, if you think the price is bloody high, then go to someone else.)

5. This guy is not that type. He tries to force down the price to a damn low rate we can't accept, trying to convince that in the future he would have more job offers. Who cares! I work for today payment, not for the day dreaming future! That's not the reason to reduce my price at all. There's nothing to guarantee that he would find me more job for sure. Nothing.

6. We are both not ok with the price but make appointment to talk.

7. He sent an e-mail again. All about price was misunderstood. I tried to apoligize once that it might be caused by our weak communication in English (which is far better than his stupid wife) and write an explaination on price again.
However, at this point we feel really down. They are so fussy, want good job in low prices, and bla bla bla.

8. We sent e-mail back to refuse all the job. based on these reasons
- we don't have time (which is not because we couldn't manage time, but it because 20 days passed and we got no reply from them. So we assumed they don't accept the price and don't want us to do. So we already took other jobs...which pay less but we are happy to deal)
- we said 'we don't have time' because we don't want to tell them directly that 'if you think the price is high, then find someone else' (though I said that in the second mail because it's over the limit of toleration)
- we tried to compromise, saying if you want a rush work it won't be good.
- there's no deposit, no contract. It's just a job offering. They offered us a job and we offered them a price. If they not ok with the price, then I don't have to do. What a fuck that they will reduce my price and force me to do, asshole!
- since the first time his bar wife called us, she kept asking how much and how much (can't you say other word, bitch?) We said we couldn't quote the price now but she kept asking. So we said price start at xxxx baht. You know, they cling onto that figures and kept complaining why their price is higher than what that fuckin girl heard for the first time. Hell, they don't understand the word 'start at'.

We found out only one single fault that caused by us is, we should have told them directly for the first time that WE CANNOT ACCEPT YOUR PRICE. GO FIND SOMEONE ELSE!

Thai style of compromising, putting a blame on yourself or speaking indirect question doesn't work for some sorts of human.
They are idiot enough to not recognize the real reasons behind the first refuse.

If they say we are bad company that cannot manage the time, ...then I just said we gave you 20 days to consider the price. If you not ok, we have rights to work for other jobs. Why we have to only wait for you??? huh?

and then we have rights to say we are not free, not available for your job any longer. Why not?
There's no commitment at all.
We never accept we would definitely do this job, never!
Plus with the fact that they not ok with the price, I cannot find any reasons on earth why they still want us to do.

No matter what they said, we don't care!
Let them talk, let them open their fucking mouth anytime they like.

If you believe them, and think we are wrong...we still don't care.
We work for years, never have any problem at all. no matter customers are in the same nationality or not. Westerners or Thais....no problems.

But for some type of customers, there's no need to pay attention to.

Use your consideration. We don't beg you to take our sides.

If you ask what is our emotion right now? I would say we are really extremely supremely happy to get rid of those studid, idiot, fucking, asshole out of our lives!!!!!!!!

Yo!!!!

As to follow the government's policy that gave poor people 2000 baht cheque, aiming to help country's economic by promoting those people to spend their cheque on 'something'.

We can't keep it our bank account. We have to use it all!!!!
Oh, thank you Mr.prime minister. I don't like you but I like 2000 baht value of this cheque. (I didn't say I like his policy or support it, did I?)

All people in this country who have salary lower than 15,000 baht will get this cheque. Well, just almost all. Except if you are freelance, non-organization worker, farmer, gardener, labourer or anyone who never pay for the Social Security fund (which takes 5% of your salary every month....to manually calcuate, I think it was such a big sum compare to 2000 baht la)
Anyway, how come cabin crews, air hostage or any worker who got paid mainly by perdium or service charge get this cheque? quite unfair la, in my point of view.

Nokhookdesign has one freelance graphic designer. After he resigned from full-time job, he didn't pay money for the Social Security Fund. and he didn't get this cheque....while he didn't get that much money each month.
On the other hand, my friends who are air hostage said their salaries are actually 6000 baht!!!!!
But what they really get each month is around 70,000 which is by perdium cost.

I don't know what and who to blame. Actually I don't care because I got it (ha ha). Just wonder how wise the government is! Yes, Mr. Prime Minister has solved the problem at the right point!
Think so?

So.....not to make him disappointed. I use my cheque to buy this (as you wait to see by seeing my title and wonder when I'd stop talking abt the bloody politic)

Wall Arts Street Arts

Last week, we met Paper Mag team at iberry to see them work on graffiti.

Mister Udom the owner (he's famous, a stand comedy speaker) knew Paper team for some time and I don't know how but he asked Paper team to color spray his wall at the back of iberry. You know what iberry is, don't you? It's a must-go place if you arrive Chiang Mai like Wat Doisuthep or Night Bazaar. Tourists love to go, esp Bangkokians. I don't know why Bangkokians are so crazy to go to a franchise shop which also has many franchises in their town. Well, just wonder. I don't hate iberry and have nothing to do with marketing for other ice-cream shop. Maybe it's because it's mister Udom's shop where he put lots of nice sculptures in the landscape. That's why I saw just a tiny ice-cream cup on one table surrounded by eight chairs up. They just want to take some nice pics with 'this' background and to buy a scoop of ice-cream is to show good manner. Maybe, I guest.

Ok, forget about that.
The ice-cream shop is good and atmosphere is very cool. I'm sure you'll love it (if you don't mind a scoop which is much expensive than Swensen's, oops!) And mister Udom is nice.

At least I like him. quite like. I like him that he is open enough to let the nobody artists to painted on his wall. Paper team had done the Panda last year and this year they do the see lor dang (red car taxi)

Mister Udom liked it, I guest. So he asked them to do wall painting again at the back of his shop. I'm not quite sure what the design is. I'm not that artistic you know, but my boyfriend is. And the Paper team is.
Anyway, it's pretty for me. (and for the owner, that's enough)

If you want to eat Thai brand ice-cream, quite cheap if compared to your currency rate (really), I would like to recommend iberry. (Can this substitute to what I said above?) And don't forget to walk to the rear. You will see this. If I didn't heard it wrong, maybe they will paint more walls soon.

Half Day City Trip

As some of you may know (and some of you may not know), we love to take a short trip in our days off. Not far, we cannot go that far. Just around Chiang Mai.

This time we tried to find new locations for some nice photos. And 'Wat Prasat' comes up to minds.

Wat Prasat is an infamous tourist spot, just opposite to the well-known Wat Prasingh. We hate loads of tourists that block our good shot and so annoyed with some noisy group tours. If you feel like us, just cross the road to Wat Prasat. The architecture is not much inferior. Still pretty for me. It's an old temple, not rebuilt one. Some even said its wall with lovely pine trees (or the whole temple structure I'm not sure) is the model for Rachamanka Hotel. Well, don't have to tell the hotel like this, you know?

Here some pics to show. We took it with our RICOH GX100. Really love this camera, portable with ability like pro camera! Believe me.
